Calhan FCCLA is hosting a Traffic Safety Day on Thursday, Jan. 18th in the Lutz Gym. Students will have an opportunity to learn about various traffic safety topics including speeding, seatbelt safety, distracted/impaired driving, and pedestrian and bike safety.
Morning Session for Elementary Students: Bike, Seatbelt, and Pedestrian Safety
Middle School
All middle school students are invited to visit the Lutz Gym for an Expo-style event from 1:15-2:15. Students can fill out a passport to get stamped at stations to be entered to win a gift card.
High School
- 12:00-12:45 Keynote Speaker Christy from Sammie's Sunshine for All High School Students
- 12:45-1:05 Stations available for high school students to visit outside in the horseshoe during lunch include a simulated accident and Big Rig from the American Trucking Association.
- 2:30-3:45 High School Students are invited to the Lutz Gym to complete the Expo. A passport will be available for students to complete to be entered to win various prizes including a Winter Driving Kit and Gift Cards.
