Calhan High Senior Johnathan Mikita has won the pole vault event at the State Track and field Championship meet. He took the event with a vault of 13'11", and then went on to set the school record with a vault of 14'.5". He is working on a new event now. Johnathan left for Marine bootcamp the day after the state meet. We wish him congratulations and good luck.
