Private Lessons

Every student at any level is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to take private lessons. A student can really thrive as a musician with the outside work structured by a professional musician who knows how to practice effectively. Students can talk to Ms. Gerczynski about finding a private lesson instructor that is right for them.

Casey Gerczynski is a classically trained saxophonist who recently graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelors in Music Education K12. She started her music career at an early age by taking piano lessons and learning guitar from her father. Casey began pursuing saxophone throughout middle school and high school with guidance from Rob Barbre, Eric Bernhardt, and Dr. Christian Noon.

During her time at UNC, Casey was mentored by Mark Pipes, Andy Kropp, and saxophone professor Dr. Andrew Dahlke. Casey also got the opportunity to work with note-worthy education professors like Dr. Richard Mayne, Dr. Lindsay Fulcher, and Dr. Mark Montemayor. Casey performed in UNC Symphonic Band, UNC Lab V and IV, and multiple chamber and jazz groups. She marched in UNC’s Pride of the Rockies Marching band for five years and was the baritone section leader during her last season.

Casey student taught with Kathy Azari at Brentwood Middle School and with Orlando Otis at Legend High School.

Casey continues to play her saxophone after college in an Alternative band called Poets & Wolves. She has performed in many venues such as the Marquis Theater in Denver and the Moxi Theater and Syntax Spirits in Greeley.
