The Giving Tree

Dear Calhan Families, In celebration of the holiday season and to foster the spirit of giving among our students and community our school has organized a Giving Tree. The Giving Tree is decorated with gift tags that list the specific toy and clothing needs or “wish” of children in our school community. Each tag represents a child filled with hope and we would like to fulfill as many “wishes” as possible this year.
How it works:
1. Select a gift tag from our tree.
2. Fulfill the wish on the chosen tag.
3. Return the gift to Ms. Taylor’s office by December 15th.

Other ways you can help:
1. No time to shop? No problem! Drop off a monetary donation at the front office. Checks should be made out to Calhan School.
2. Drop off any NEW/ packaged PK-12th grade age items, at Ms. Taylor’s office by December 15, and we will find a match for you.

The Giving Tree will be accessible in our school Media Center to all those who would like to participate in bringing a toy for a child in our school. The program is confidential and no student names will be given out. The tags on the Christmas Tree will include only age, gender, and specific wish. If you have any questions about this program, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you in advance for helping us celebrate this wonderful holiday season with our community.
